Typewriter Ribbon Lagniappe – Alone in the Dark

This collectible item, the Typewriter Ribbon, might be a Lagniappe that pays homage to another giant of the genre, Resident Evil. In that game, you would have to use ink ribbons to save your game. Well, in Alone in the Dark, it’s part of a set of Lagniappes that uncover hidden information for the players. In this guide, we’ll show you how to find the Typewriter Ribbon, and explain how it relates to the set.

The Typewriter Ribbon Lagniappe is in Chapter 3, when the player is teleported to the New Orleans Docks. When you’re down by the water and the entrance to the sewers, look to your left, and you’ll see a plank and small walkway (see image 1 below). Walk over to the end, and on a crate will be the Typewriter Ribbon (see image 2 below).

The Typewriter Ribbon is a part of the “Death of the Author” Lagniappe set. There are two other pieces in this set for players to find:
