How to Expand the Quickbar – Baldur’s Gate 3

As you progress further into Baldur’s Gate 3, your quickbar is going to fill up quickly. Between enchanted equipment, inventory items, and new abilities from leveling up, there’s a lot competing for space on your quickbar.

Expanding the Quickbar

It isn’t very obvious, but you can actually add more rows to your quickbar once it becomes overcrowded. On the right side of the bar, near the option to activate turn-based mode, are plus (+) and minus (-) buttons. Pressing plus will add a row while the minus button conversely removes a row. Note that you cannot have more than four rows or go below the two row default.

Some other options for expanding your quickbar space are filtering your abilities with the options at the bottom or expanding certain sections of the bar. For example, you can drag the red line by the items section to the left to increase the item slots available.

Thankfully, Larian added a few options to increase the slots on the default quickbar. Run into any problems expanding the quickbar? Let us know in the comments below!
