Baldur’s Gate Hotix #18 Now Live – A Fair Trade

Baldur’s Gate 3 just dropped Hotfix #18 and, like usual, it’s a doozy. Baldur’s Gate 3, at this point, is known for absolutely massive updates, and while their biggest are usually their Patches (like Patch #6, which just dropped a few days ago), you might be in for a real surprise this time. Truly, Larian Studios continues to outdo themselves with unbridled support, releasing regular, huge updates to continue adding to and improving their smash-hit, after all.

We hope you’re ready, because we are just going to let the change log for Hotfix #18 speak for itself this time. Get ready, Faerûnites, you’re about to be shocked:

Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix #18 Change Log

  • Fixed an issue that would cause vendors to initially display their current gold amount as zero.
  • Fixed a crash when entering into bartering with a vendor. Hagglers rejoice!

Woo, now that was a Hotfix. The smallest hotfix yet, that is.

More seriously: after many months of very frequent updates, most of which being extremely large, Hotfix #18’s tiny size is nice to see; it means that Larian might’ve finally ironed out the worst of the bugs and added the most important quality-of-life features, and can now focus on the little things. Improving stability and playability is a process, after all, and one Larian is certainly not afraid of.

Of course, next week might see another novella’s worth of an update. We shall see. For now, we will simply enjoy finally remembering to stop and barter.
