How to Get Erebus and Militech Canto MK.6 – Cyberpunk 2077

Completing the Phantom Liberty mission, Somewhat Damaged, will get you the components to craft either the Blackwall Gateway Quickhack (Militech Canto MK.6) or the Erebus Power SMG — note that you will have to pick one of the rewards. In this guide we will cover what you will need to obtain the reward you want, and, if you don’t know which one you want — what each of the items can offer you.

Note: these items are Phantom Liberty expansion exclusives.

Note that there will be a few things you will need to craft one of the rewards:

  • When the decision comes during Firestarter mission, choose to side with Reed (we have a guide on Phantom Liberty Endings to help you identify when this will come up).
  • Call Mr. Hands to get help with a netrunner during the quest Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos (you will need to pay 15,000 credits).
  • Then, you need to accept Yoko’s proposal during that mission.
  • Once you get to Somewhat Damaged mission, you will need to find the blueprints for at least one of the rewards.
  • Finally, you will need the Behavioral System Component from the dead robot at the end of Somewhat Damaged.

We cover how to find Erebus and Blackwall Blueprints in our Somewhat Damaged Mission Walkthrough. If you are struggling with the Nemesis Robot stalking the facility, we will have some tips for you in that guide as well.

If you did all of this, then rest at an apartment for a day after finishing the mission, and you will be contacted by an unknown sender, which will start This Corrosion mission. Follow the steps, and you will be able to craft one of the rewards, but not both.

Note that you will still need some Tier 5 Quickhack components to craft one or the other, which you can either buy or get by dismantling Tier 5 items or quickhacks.

Ultimately, which of the rewards is more useful will be up to you: one is a Power Submachine Gun and the other is a Cyberdeck that unlocks the Blackwall Gateway quickhack.

If either are of equal interest you and you just need help deciding, go with the gun — the Cyberdeck works significantly better if you already have a dedicated Intelligence build with high RAM or Overclock perks. Erebus’s special power (damage-dealing quickhacks on low health) and chunky magazine is likely to be more helpful to you in most other cases.

That being said, the two rewards you will be picking between are:

  • Attack Speed: 6.02
  • Damage: 61.23
  • Reload Speed: 1.80
  • Effective Range: 18
  • Weapon Handling: 5.53
  • Ammo Capacity: 414
  • Weight: 5
  • Selling Price: €$ ~6,000

+100% Headshot Damage Multiplier
+25% Armor Penetration

Rounds fired from this weapon are infused with the dark energy beyond the Blackwall. Highly effective against enemies with low health.

  • Capacity Cost: 33
  • RAM: 9
  • Slots: 5
  • Buffer: 12
  • Selling Price: €$ ~45,000
  • Allows you to perform quickhacks on enemies and devices while scanning.
  • Unlocks the Blackwall Gateway quickhack.

This quickhack spreads to 5 enemies within 20 m., causing lethal damage to cyberware and neural systems. Mechs, robots, drones and turrets are deactivated.

Automatically consumes RAM every time it spreads. Each spread has a shorter upload time and a higher RAM cost than the last. But the cost can be cut in half if you are willing to pay in blood…

  • Tier 1
    • Extract Data, Distract Enemies, Remote Deactivation, Camera Control, Initiate Overload, Remote Deactivation (Turret)
  • Tier 2
    • Friendly Mode, Sonic Shock, Take Control (Turret), Initiate Overload (Turret)
  • Tier 3
    • Assist Mode
  • Tier 4
    • Turret Friendly Mode, System Overload

Which of the Iconic items did you end up picking? Which builds would you recommend for either — or could your build really use both? Let us know in the comments below!
