Cyberpunk 2077 Releases Next Week With Cross-Gen Saves

It’s been a long, delay-filled wait, but Cyberpunk 2077 is finally set to release in just over a week, on December 10th. CD Projekt Red’s new open-world RPG promises a rich, varied world to explore, full of cars, weapons, and cyber-enhancements that let will you drive, shoot, or mantis-claw your way through the dystopian future of Night City any way you see fit.

Those of you struggling to get your hands on a PlayStation 5, or who haven’t yet purchased a next-gen XBox, should be pleased to learn that you will be able to continue your Cyberpunk 2077 game on your new console when you do finally grab one. The official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account recently posted instructions on how to transfer saves between PS4 and PS5, as well as between XBox One and XBox Series X/S. Here’s how to access your Cyberpunk 2077 saves on your XBox or Playstation:

• For PlayStation users, you have a few options: You can connect your PS Plus account and upload your saves, you can simply transfer your save data via LAN or WiFi, or you can use a storage device to transfer your saves to your PSN account.
• For XBox users, it’s even simpler, as the Smart Delivery technology guarantees you’ll have access to Cyberpunk 2077 and your saves on current or previous generation consoles.
