Street Kid Lifepath’s Victory Challenged by Fans
Nomad, Street Kid, or Corpo? Well, at first, the three options almost tied! Just yesterday Nomad and Street Kid were trying to outdo each other at about 34% each, with Corpo only a little bit behind, but the community has finally spoken, with Street Kid ahead by 4.2% (difference of more than 8,000 people!). These players wants to play as the underdog, the insider, the survivor standing at the epicenter of the volcano that is the Night City.
This victory might feel a little weird, considering that the official Reddit poll showed Nomad and Corpo as fan-favorite, with 7,700 votes. Even Twitter users had to agree that the unusual perspectives of Nomad and Corpo would add to the experience. Experiencing Night City anew through the eyes of the Nomad and coming out of the hard-boiled “villain” side of the city with Corpo are the opportunities too tempting to miss.
If you look through the comments on Twitter and Reddit, fans are pretty vocal about wanting to play as a curious Nomad outsider or a mysterious Corpo with complex moral code. Nomad’s relatable first-time exposure to the city and Corpo’s involved experience with the dystopian bureaucracy speak deeply to many of these people.
So, why does the majority of players want to start playing Cyberpunk 2077 as a Street Kid?

Presented with the opportunity to experience the world as compelling and complex as that of Cyberpunk, how does it feel like to be in the know?
As an average street dweller who went beyond the most in honing their survival skills you will feel at home amidst the chaos. You will know what to say to the most intimidating fixers and gang members, you will have a starting pass to locating special organizations and individuals, and barely anyone will outsmart your gritty intuition.
Who knows what CD Projekt Red will throw into this mix — making better impressions upon the majority of the street dwellers you meet? Clever and familiar remarks in just about any dialog interaction? Ability to strike best deals over illegal goods and gang mediation? CDPR probably has many street-themed quest resolutions and dialogue interactions prepared for the Street Kid’s insider senses. If that’s the case, this is probably the kind of a Lifepath that will let you be fully immersed in the Night City’s goings and shady deals.
Even with what little we know as of now many admitted that there is something special about Street Kid background. Maybe it’s that “rags to riches” story archetype with the average city dweller as the protagonist, maybe it’s the calm cool feeling demonstrated by the Night City Wire’s recent trailer, or the opportunity to protect close friends against the corporate greed.
