Stranger Things Returns to Dead by Daylight

We got a late Halloween present today in the form of a Dead by Daylight announcement: the Stranger Things chapter is once again available. After what was presumably the license expiring, the chapter based on the popular Netflix show — which includes the Demogorgon, Nancy, and Steve — became unavailable for purchase, almost 2 years ago to the day. The characters stayed in the game, but if you hadn’t purchased them before the chapter went away, you were out of luck.

Now, however, they’re back! The Stranger Things chapter is in the Steam Store, and the characters will be available in the in-game Store as well, along with their cosmetics.

This also means the return of the Underground Complex map — whether that’s a good thing or not depends on your feelings regarding indoor maps, or how much you enjoy playing Scratched Mirror Meyers.

When the Stranger Things chapter initially went bye bye, the perks from the two Survivors and one Killer became General Perks; said perks will once again become Signature Perks, and you’ll need to either acquire the characters or else unlock the perks in the Shrine of Secrets in order to unlock them. Don’t worry: if you already unlocked the Stranger Things perks as General Perks on your characters, they’ll stay unlocked.
