Elden Ring’s expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree uses a different system for making your character and Spirit Ashes (summons) stronger and more resilient to damage. We’ll go into more detail below, but here’s a summary of what Scadutree Blessings and Revered Spirit Ash Blessings are, and how to use them:

What Are Scadutree Blessings?
Scadutree Blessings are items that can be found in the Land of Shadow. Players will likely find their first ones next to golden crosses scattered throughout the Land of Shadow. The game does a good job explaining that these are stat boosters for your character, making them do more damage and have better resilience against enemies.

What Are Revered Spirit Ash Blessings?
Of course, it makes sense that there is also a way to boost your Spirit Ash summons and your trusty steed, Torrent: this item is called Revered Spirit Ash Blessings. Unlike the Scadutree Blessings, these are in more random spots like dungeons. They do virtually the same exact thing as Scadutree Blessings, just for your Spirit Ashes and Torrent.

How to Use Scadutree Blessings and Revered Spirit Blessings
Like many other items and upgrades in Elden Ring, the Scadutree Blessings and revered Spirit Blessings can only be applied while the player is at a Site of Grace (fast travel location). When resting at a Site of Grace, you will see the option “Shadow Realm Blessing”.
If there’s a white ball next to the option, you have Blessings to spend
The game really wants to make it clear what the Blessings do, because it gives you another description when you select the option. Each time you use either blessing, you will require an additional number to improve it again. For example, after using the first one, you will need two more to upgrade it again.
