[Leak] Elden Ring Character Creator Lets You Make Some Hideous Characters

It’s something of a tradition among FromSoftware fans to try and create the ugliest characters possible. Bloodborne’s character creator may have offered the most possibilities, but every Soulsborne game (excluding Sekiro, of course) has let players create freaky PCs to a certain degree. Happily, the tradition will live on, as we learned thanks to the recent Elden Ring Character Creator leak.

While the leaked video spends most of its time showing off what the extreme end of the sliders do to a character’s face, it also showed off how great the base models look in Elden Ring. The wonderful hair textures we saw in Sekiro look even better here, and the handful of preset faces in the video are unequivocally the nicest-looking FromSoft characters yet.

The text on the menu options is mostly missing, but it appears that there are 10 starting classes, the same as in Dark Souls 3. Five classes were revealed in the Network Test, and some were analogs of the DS3 classes, while a few were different and showed off the focus on multi-classing that Elden Ring seems to have.

Elden Ring releases on February 25th, so you’ve still got plenty of time to decide whether you’re going to make your character blue, green, or some kind of boringly-realistic color.

Credit for the ugly character images goes to users in this reddit thread, since all game journalism is just reddit leeching nowadays.
