Elder Scrolls Online Plush Guar: First Impressions

Plush Guar Featured

The Elder Scrolls Online plush Guar is one fine looking collectible.

Wow, that was fast! I bought an Elder Scrolls Online plush Guar from the Bethesda Store last week, and I’m happy to say that my postal carrier delivered the little guy straight to my doorstep this afternoon. As soon as I opened the box and laid eyes on the Guar for the first time, I was impressed. Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting much at the time I placed my order (I was more interested in the Elder Scrolls Online vanity pet that came with each purchase), but I have to say that the plush Guar is one fine looking Elder Scrolls collectible.

Take a look at these screenshots to get a better idea of the toy’s quality:

Elder Scrolls Online Plush Guar in Box
The plush Guar came sealed in a plastic bag and was packaged in a plain cardboard box. Besides the packing slip, nothing else was included.
Plush Guar in Bag
The plastic bag is printed with The Elder Scrolls Online and Gaming Heads logos. Also the standard warning that plastic bags can be dangerous. Throw that junk out!
Plush Guar with Tag
The Guar comes with an attached ESO cardboard tag.
Plush Guar Game Code
When you open the tag, you’ll find your vanity pet’s game code hidden behind a scratch-off.
Elder Scrolls Online Plush Guar Sideview
The Guar is a handsomely constructed little dude. The stitching seems solid and the fabric has a nice color, texture, and feel. Soft to the touch, and definitely not cheap like some carnival prize.
Plush Guar Backpack
The Elder Scrolls Online plush Guar has a removable pack (held in place by two Velcro connectors — one beneath his tail and the other beneath his chin).
Plush Guar Sewn Tag
Directly above the Velcro tail connector is a sewn-on Elder Scrolls Online tag.
Plush Guar Soda
The Guar stands about 8.5 inches tall. He was surprisingly taller than I imagined, and his legs have an internal “skeleton” for posing. He’ll look great on my gaming bookcase, right next to my Elder Scrolls games.

Don’t you think that maybe instead of marketing stuffed animals they could rid the game of all the Bots, Gold Farmers, and game glitches first?

Just a thought…

Good point, though I don’t think the two are necessarily exclusive (i.e., they can work on marketing and fixes at the same time). On a positive note, over the last few weeks I’ve personally seen a marked decrease in the amount of gold spam in-game. Not sure if this is everyone else’s experience, but I’m hoping this is a turning point and the devs have a handle on it.
