The opening score on The Elder Scrolls Online Soundtrack is composed by none other than Jeremy Soule — the renown composer responsible for the amazing music on Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim (see the Skyrim Fansite article Skyrim Song Lyrics: Song of the Dragonborn for more information).
Soule’s work is always phenomenal, and the track For Blood, for Glory, for Honor is worthy of an Elder Scrolls game. Currently, this opening track is ranked as the most popular out of all 47 on iTunes, and for good reason. Even if you’re not a fan of The Elder Scrolls Online, the score can’t help but move you. The music is gripping, evoking the heroic in every sense of the word.
Listening to The Elder Scrolls Online Soundtrack in full stereo just makes you want to strap on your heavy armor and go out exploring the wilds of Tamriel. Don’t believe me? Then checkout the following soundtrack sample ZeniMax Online Studios put together for YouTube. The video is slightly over 3 minutes long, but even in its brevity it gives you a taste of the inspirational music crafted for the newest Elder Scrolls game (naturally, the first excerpt played is For Blood, for Glory, for Honor).

Other Composers
Besides Soule, the other composers who crafted the music for The Elder Scrolls Online Soundtrack include Brad Derrick (who did the lion’s share of the work), and Rik Schaffer. In addition, video game artist Maluka sings the album’s closing track, Beauty of Dawn, in her unmistakable style.
Brad Derrick is no stranger to MMO games, being well known for composing the soundtrack for Warhammer Online. Rik Schaffer lends his talent to only two tracks on The Elder Scrolls Online Soundtrack, but he too is known for his video game compositions including Gothic 3, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, and X-Men: The Official Game.
