Final Fantasy X Guadosalam Walkthrough

Once you enter, you will unlock the ability to customize your weapons and armor, and be given a tutorial on how to do so. This will allow you to add passive abilities to available weapons and armor (if you have the necessary items for it).

There are a few things you can pick up here before going into Seymour’s manor. The Inn will be the first building you’ll see, and you can go in to find a Save Sphere, and you can talk to Shelinda and Maechen if you wish. To the right of Seymour’s manor, you can find a chest containing a Mega-Potion. Head to the left side of Guadosalam and go into the building to find a chest with 3000 gil and the Al Bhed Primer Vol. XIII. Back outside, walk south and past two people to find a chest containing an Elixir. In the center of the city, you will find O’aka and a Guado that will both sell you items and equipment if you want to buy anything.

Mansion

Once you’ve gotten everything you wanted, head into Seymour’s manor. At the top of the stairs, you can find a chest with 2 Hi-Potions. Then talk to everyone and attempt to enter to door on the first floor to continue. In the next room, talk to all of your party members again to trigger a series of cutscenes, then you can leave.

Once you’re outside, make your way to the right side of the town and continue down the path, then make your way up the stairs to go into the Farplane.

The Farplane

On the left side of this area, there will be a hidden chest with 8 Lightning Marbles. Speak to Wakka for a cutscene, and Tidus‘s Brotherhood will be upgraded to have the ‘Strength +10%’, ‘Waterstrike,’ and ‘Sensor’ passives. Talk to Lulu for an additional cutscene, then talk to Yuna to progress the story and leave the area. While walking back to the main part of the city, you will be given a dialogue choice, but what you pick doesn’t matter.

Once you’re back in Guadosalam, head to your party in front of Seymour’s manor, and everyone will spread out across the city. You will have a chance to raise either Yuna, Lulu, or Rikku‘s Affection here. In the previous scene, either Lulu or Rikku will talk to Tidus, depending on who’s Affection is currently higher. Afterwards, you can talk to this person to get an extra cutscene talking about Yuna, and then you will be given a dialogue choice.

If you choose “Too late” (with Lulu), or “I guess you’re right” (with Rikku), you will raise your Affection with Yuna
If you choose “You’re more my type” talking to Lulu, you will raise your Affection with her
If you choose “I’d rather have you, Rikku” talking to Rikku, you will raise your Affection with her
Picking the other options will raise no one’s Affection

You can also head to the shop and raise your Affection with Kimahri by seeing him leave it. When you’re done with everything, head down the ramp near the city entrance to talk to Shelinda. Next, head towards the party next to Seymour’s manor to trigger a cutscene, and you will be able to go to the next area using the same ramp you met Shelinda in.

Before you leave, you can head back to the Farplane, and there will be a new chest with the Venus Crest. You can also speak to Lulu here to raise her Affection. You can also buy armor with the ‘Lightning Ward’ passive, or add the ‘Lightningproof’ passive to any available armor you have, as the Lightning resistance will be helpful in the next area.
