The Recommended PC Specs You’ll Need to Run Gotham Knights at 60FPS

Late week we learned what the minimum PC specs would be for Gotham Knights, and today on Twitter, the recommended specs have also been revealed. It’s no surprise given the minimum requirements, but still — to call them high would be a bit of an understatement. Here are the recommended PC System requirements for Gotham Knights to run the game at 60FPS, 1080p:

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K or Ryzen 5 5600X
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: GeForce RTX 2070 or Radeon RX 5700 XT
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Needless to say, most people don’t have machines like that, unless they’ve only recently built or purchased a gaming PC. The reaction from fans on the official Discord really says it all:

The steep system requirements would be an easier pill to swallow if the game had impressive graphics, but Gotham Knights doesn’t appear to have significantly more high-fidelity models than the previous Arkham games. The high requirements are therefore a bit confusing, although the explanation may have something to do with the game world that two players can explore freely at once.

In response to criticism regarding the 30FPS cap on consoles, a WB rep on the official Discord explained that the fully untethered co-op was the cause of the lack of a performance mode for Gotham Knights. It seems reasonable to assume that this is also the cause for the high system requirements. Whether that’s worth it or not will depend on how badly you want to team up with your friend”¦ and then not actually team up with them.

Gotham Knights releases October 21st on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X/S.
