This walkthrough for this Ravenclaw-exclusive main story quest “Ollivander’s Heirloom” will help you track down a stolen wand that means quite a bit to the nice old wandmaker. Doing so will see you visit a familiar Hogwarts location: The Owlery.
To begin this quest, you’ll need to visit Olliverander’s Wand Shop in Hogsmeade. Don’t forget you need to hit the “Hogsmeade Map” button at the top of the map screen to see the town! The closest Floo Flame is the South Hogsmeade one, so assuming you don’t want to hike over, fast travel to that Floo Flame — Mr. Ollivander’s shop is just a short walk away (tap to be guided by your compass).
Once there, walk to the shop, head inside, and press / once prompted. You’ll have a conversation with Mr. Ollivander where he’ll explain what he needs from you, and give you a chance to ask any background questions you want.
Investigate the Owlery
Once the conversation ends, it’s back to the castle! Open the map, select the Hogwarts Map, and then fast travel to whatever Floo Flame you have that’s closest to the Owlery — this will very likely be one of the Floo Flames in the Bell Tower Wing.
Make your way up the hill to the Owlery, making sure to snag the Moonstone on the left side of the path, near the first set of stone stairs. There are also quite a few Leaping Toadstool Caps you can harvest as you make your way up the winding path. When you reach the Owlery, go inside and up the spiral staircase.
At the top of the stairs is the Owlery proper — nestled amongst the actual owl perches are a bunch of panels you can pull off with Accio. Start on one side of the room, and one by one, cast Accio on every single panel’s handle (1). There are a lot of these, so take your time and make sure you get them all — they ring the entire wall of the area. Some will have nothing, some will drop a small bag of gold you can pick up, and some will drop a Bird Statue — we’ll worry about those later. Once you’ve pulled out every panel on this level, climb the nearby ladder (2) to reach the roof.
On the roof, you’ll need to do the same as below, making your way around the edge of the roof and casting Accio on the panels you can reach from up here — the contents of the perches will go flying out and fall to the ground below, so don’t worry about trying to catch it or anything. Walk all the way around the edge of the roof and look inwards constantly to make sure you don’t miss a panel.
There is also a Field Guide Page flying around on the northern side of the roof (1), plus another page hidden in a Levioso statue on the eastern side (cast Levioso on the statue to gain access to the page). The southern side of the tower has a Map with Floating Candles on the ground (2) — pick it up to gain access to the quest Ghost of Our Love.

Return the bird sculptures to their perches
After opening up all the panels with Accio, go back to the ladder and climb down, then pick up all the fallen statues (1) and pouches on the floor. Then walk over to the empty perches indicated by the objective marker (2) and press /repeatedly to place all the statues.

Once you’ve placed all six statues, a cutscene will play, and then you’ll meet Richard Jackdaw. When your conversation ends, so will the quest! Next up in the main story, Jackdaw’s Rest.
