Potions “bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses… brew glory, bottle fame, and even put a stopper in death.” Needless to say, that makes them very important for your character in Hogwarts Legacy. After completing Herbology class, you’ll have the necessary resources to complete Potions, and so should head to Professor Sharp‘s classroom to do so.
To begin the class, head to the Potions Classroom and step up to the glowing quest marker, then press /. A cutscene to introduce Professor Aesop Sharp will play.
With Professor Sharp’s narration, you will not need to brew a Wiggenweld potion. To do so, simply follow the on-screen prompts. First, you’ll need to crush your ingredients with a mortar and pestle by rotatingcounter-clockwise (1). Then, you can add Dittany and Horklump Juice, each by pressing / (you’ll need to do so twice for the Horklump Juice) (2 and 3). After that, you will finish by stirring your cauldron by rotatingclockwise (4).

Having now brewed a Wiggenweld potion, Professor Sharp will tell you that it would be wise for you to brew a defensive Edurus potion as well. After he finished, you can follow your minimap to head towards Professor Sharp‘s office (1). On your way there, you will be stopped by Garreth Weasley. He will ask you to grab a Fwooper Feather while you’re in the professor’s office for his own use. You can choose to agree to help Garreth, or you can turn him down (2). Neither will not affect future quests with him except for some dialog changes.

After you finish talking with Garreth, you will need to grab your supplies for the Edurus potion, the Ashwinder Eggs (1) and the Mongrel Fur (2). If you agreed to help Garreth Weasley, or you chose not to help him but want the Fwooper Feathers for yourself, you can grab them now (3). You will be caught by Professor Sharp later, but it will not have an impact beyond dialog changes.

If you did agree to grab the Fwooper Feathers for Garreth Weasley, you can talk to him with / to give them to him.
After you get your ingredients (and possibly some extra), you can then head to your own Potion Station to brew an Edurus Potion. To do so, go up to your Potion Station and press / to begin (1). Then, hover over the Edurus Potion (the second one, grey in a bulbous container) and select it with / (2). Wait 30 seconds (3), during which Garreth Weasley will cause quite a commotion, and then collect your potion (4).

After brewing your Edurus Potion, you can go up to Professor Sharp and speak to him once again.
He will comment on whatever choice you made about the Fwooper Feathers in his office, and then he will dismiss class, completing the quest. Keep in mind that this will give you access to the Potion Station in this Classroom whenever you need it, which can be useful while you still haven’t unlocked the Room of Requirement.
