Double-winner of the German Video Game Awards “Best Game Design” and “Best Kids Game”, Shift Happens has now been released on the Nintendo Switch console. Developed by Klonk Games, Shift Happens gives you 40 levels of solo or co-op puzzle platform gaming on worlds filled with traps and puzzles.
Shift Happens tells the story of Bismo and Plom, two jelly like blobs that have been accidentally fused together in an experiment. In order to escape the landscape of green forests, canyons, and cold caves you’ll have to use their new power of swapping their size and skills.
The bigger blob can use the smaller blob as a projectile, it can push heavy crates, is better at surviving shallow water, and heavy enough to activate floor triggers.
The smaller blob, by way of contrast can jump higher and further, get under low barriers, and of course be the projectile that the larger blob is throwing.
Teamwork is a fluctuating ideal, do you jointly stay alive, or do you throw your comrade into a lava pool so you can keep all the coins to yourself? Which do you follow, trusting relationship or mercenary ideals?
