How to Get Pure Quartz – Palworld

As you make your way to the higher levels in Palworld, you will need to start making Circuit Boards. One of the materials needed for it is Pure Quartz, which you may not have even seen at this point! But, don’t worry, in this guide we will go over where you can find Pure Quartz, and how to farm it to ensure you have as much as you need!

Where to Find Pure Quartz

The only area were you can find Pure Quartz deposits is in the Astral Mountains, which is in the northernmost part of the map (see below). These deposits will look similar to Coal deposits and even be the same color, except these will have white crystals coming out of them. On top of this, there are a few areas where a group of deposits will be close together.

Honorable mention: it’s worth noting that there are a few Pals that can drop Pure Quartz as well (Astegon, Frostallion Noct, Jetragon). However, since two of these are very high-level Pals, and the third (Frostallion Noct) can only be obtained through breeding, this would not be a practical way to collect Pure Quartz.

Pure Quartz Mining Locations

Below are a few examples of where you can find Pure Quartz clusters. As the Astral Mountains are a snowy area, make sure you have some Cold Resist armor before exploring these locations to avoid freezing to death.

South of the Land of Absolute Zero Great Eagle Statue (-253, -416)

Southwest of the Unthawable Lake Great Eagle Statue (-207, 249)

North of the PAL Genetic Area Search Unit Tower Great Eagle Statue (-139, 578)

How to Farm Pure Quartz

Unfortunately, unlike Stone, there are no base structures to let you continuously farm Pure Quartz — but, thankfully, there is a workaround method for this, which involves building a dedicated base for mining the resource. Ideally, you will want to have a second base unlocked before doing this method at the very least, since you might want to reserve Quartz storage and processing for your main location.

Then, follow these steps:

• First, find one of the areas we listed in the previous section, with a group of Pure Quartz deposits.
• If you are happy with the area this cluster is in, make a base here — try to get most, if not all, of the Pure Quartz deposits within your base’s range.
• Once the base is established, assign as many Pals with Mining Work Suitability to this base as you can.
  • Important: These Pals will need to have at least level 3 Suitability in Mining, or they will ignore Pure Quartz deposits completely.

Feel free to build anything else this base will need (such as beds, food, etc.), and a Storage Box right next to your Palbox, but be mindful not to build anything on top of a deposit spawn point. Now your Pals will automatically mine all of the Pure Quartz deposits as they spawn, and store the Pure Quartz for you to pick up!

Now that you have this system running, you can periodically go to this base’s Storage Box and grab your ores, Fast Travel to one of your other bases, and store or refine them in your main base. Note that since we built the box next to the Palbox, you can do this even if you grab so many that you can barely move.

Once you start getting plenty of Pure Quartz, you can make Circuit Boards, allowing you to create many of the higher-end structures!
