In this guide, we will explore the Quarry monument. This guide contains the general strategy and meta for the monument, a map with Crate spawn locations, and callouts so you can more easily navigate the monument.
For info on how to read the map and some more general information about the guide, please refer to the Map Key in the Main Guide.
General Info
Quarry is an underwhelming monument. It is sunken into the ground, with exposed stone surrounding it. The Quarry is the centerpiece, with only a few other structures surrounding it. It is slow and Low-grade-intensive, making it an unviable waste of time for most players and groups. If you have a huge abundance of Lowgrade, you may find some benefit, but not much compared to other monuments.
Strategy and Meta
Because of the lack of utility for this monument, it is unlikely that you will run into any opposition. If you encounter other players here, it might be worth retreating rather than risking yourselves (and your resources). If you decide it is worth it to attack or defend the monument, then using the Watch Tower and Quarry to gain the high ground is the best strategy. unless it gets a major buff in the future.
Should you have the time and Lowgrade to make use of this monument, and wish to defend it, then you should take the time to erect a wall around the entire monument. Since you can build up to the exposed stone, doing this will only take about 20 walls. If you combine this with the use of high ground, you should be able to defend this low-demand monument with relative ease.
If you do decide to use this monument, here is the breakdown of Lowgrade to Materials produced by the different versions of the Quarry monument:
Name
Input
Output
HQM Quarry
360 Lowgrade
90 Hight Quality Metal Ore
Sulfur Quarry
360 Lowgrade
1350 Sulfur Ore
Stone Quarry

9000 Stone – 1350 Metal Ore
The Pumpjacks, located at Power Plant, Train Yard, and Water Treatment, can be an excellent source of Lowgrade to run the Quarry.
