Skyrim Mash-Up to be released for PlayStation consoles.

Last year around this time we covered the Skyrim/Minecraft crossover that was released for the Xbox 360. Well fans, hold on to your Dragonborn helmets, because Bethesda and Mojang are working together again — this time to bring the Skyrim-themed expansion pack to PlayStation consoles.

As of now, an official release date for the Skyrim Mash-up pack hasn’t been revealed. According to a recent Tweet by 4J Studios (the game development company in charge of creating the DLC for PlayStation) they had hoped for a November release:

Alas, November isn’t happening, but it’s safe to assume that a release date will come soon.

Skyrim and Minecraft fans should expect the same quality DLC that was previously released for the Xbox 360 console. The Skyrim Mash-up pack had tons of features that changed the look of Minecraft and offered players Skyrim-themed textures, character skins, music, menus, and more. Minecraft players were given opportunities to explore the familiar landscapes of Whiterun, Riverwood, and Bleak Falls Barrow (check out the official Skyrim Mash-up video below).

The Skyrim Mash-up pack is a testament to what happens when two great gaming companies work together. Xbox 360 players have had almost a full year to enjoy the DLC, and now PlayStation owners will be able to get in on the action.
