Where to Find the Guide Book

Players can obtain the guide book at the very beginning of the game by going to their inventory and opening their emergency pack. After you have acquired the guide, it does not leave your inventory.

How to Use the Guide Book

The guide book is how the player will build structures, survival aids, and base items / defenses. It also breaks down how to use construction to build different custom structures and parts. When the guide book is equipped, the player has access to two modes of building, the custom build mode and the classic build mode.

The guidebook can be equipped by tapping / . When the guide book is held in the player’s left hand, it is in the classic mode. Conversely, when it is held in the player’s right hand, it is in the custom mode. The player can switch modes while holding the guide book by holding / / . Classic mode lets the player choose things to build by placing a “ghost” of the thing, then putting the resources into the ghost to fill it in. Custom mode is simply a guide that teaches players how they can build things on their own with their tools and resources.
