How to Change Ships – Starfield

In Starfield, you will be able to amass a fleet of ships through buying, stealing, and quests. Some quests, like Echoes of the Past, force you to use a different ship. After you have more than one ship, you will want to know how to switch between them – or more importantly, go back to your main ship. Luckily, this is easy to do at any Ship Technician.

You can change your ships in Starfield at any port where you change and modify ships. You can do this at ‘Ship Services‘ in any major city, as well as at Large Landing Pads that can be built at your outposts. All you have to do is interact with the technician or computer and choose the option, “View and modify my ships.”

The next screen shows you your current ship. To switch between the ships you own, press button xbox rightbumper / button xbox leftbumper , computer key q t / computer key t t(1). When you find the ship that you want to take out, and make your ‘Home Ship’, press computer key h t, button xbox pause(2). Now you can leave the screen and your chosen ship will be behind you on the landing pad! Be aware that if you want to upgrade or build on your new ship, you will have to pay to register it first.

Now that you know how to switch between ships, maybe you want to try your hand at building a ship yourself! How many ships have you gathered so far? Tell us in the comments!
