The Callisto Protocol System Requirements: Can You Run The Callisto Protocol?

The system requirements for The Callisto Protocol, as listed on Steam, were revealed recently. As expected, the minimum requirements are somewhat demanding, and the recommended system requirements would require an above-average gaming computer to run, demanding high-end parts that are only a couple of years old. These specifications are actually a bit lower, if anything than expected, given how incredible the game’s graphics are supposed to be, based on the trailers and the recent AMD “together we advance_gaming” event.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10/11
  • Processor: Intel® Coreâ„¢ i5-8400 or AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 5 2600
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 or AMD Radeonâ„¢ RX 580
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 75 GB available space
  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10/11
  • Processor: Intel® Coreâ„¢ i7-8700 or AMD Ryzenâ„¢ 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1070 or AMD Radeonâ„¢ RX 5700
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 75 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD recommended

These specifications might be less than we expected for The Callisto Protocol, but they are still quite beefy. And even the recommended system specs are not guaranteed to run the game at “incredible framerates at 4k and higher resolutions,” as was promised would be available for the AMD RX 4900 GPUs during the aforementioned AMD event. Which does leave us wondering what exactly “recommended” means, if not “at the highest settings”?

Whatever the case, now you have all the information you need to know how well you’ll be able to run the PC version of The Callisto Protocol, which will release alongside the PlayStation and Xbox versions on December 2nd.
